Hello 

             2010 promises to be a very special year for the Regina Coeli Society.  It is the second year of the new Board of Officers. As we celebrate our 66^th Anniversary, it is important to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and see how the organization has evolved. We need you, the Catholic women of the NYPD to support us and thus support yourselves. We promote the Reverence of our Faith and our Lady, the Queen of Heaven. 

             I am thankful to the dedicated and compassionate efforts of all our members, family, friends and other NYPD organizations that continue to support us in our various endeavors. With the generous donation to our Scholarship Fund from the New York Law Enforcement Foundation, the Hon. Reginald Ward, it is possible for us to continue to provide two (2) scholarships to children of members of the service attending a Catholic High School.  Another wonderful friend of the Regina Coeli Society is the Police Reserve Association, President Mitch Levey who not only provides monetary assistance for our Scholarship and Charity at the Annual Breakfast, but also lends his help throughout the year.

   We have an incredibly busy year.  Just to mention a few events that were successful, events including a trip to Atlantic City in March, Wine and Cheese Tasting in April for Charity, and a trip to Las Vegas in June.

The Annual Communion Breakfast that was held on Friday, June 4, 2010 was a success with the help of the many volunteers.  I want to thank the Honorable Raymond W Kelly, Police Commissioner, City of New York and the Departments Executive staff for supporting and participating in our event. Without their assistance.  I want to also thank the Ceremonial Unit who have done a magnificent job in organizing and assisting with the opening ceremonies.

Just a reminder, if you have not yet submitted your 2010 membership, please do so as soon as possible. Attend our meetings and meet your fellow members in networking and camaraderie.  Attend our events and enjoy both in the event and our spiritual connection.
